What is search engine marketing?


Search engine marketing is marketing aimed at getting your website into the top positions in the search engines such as Google.

Keyword Marketing (Pay-per-click)


Pay-per-click is paid online advertising that appears on the right hand margin and often at the very top of the search results page.

With pay-per-click keyword marketing there is a high level of control:

  • You choose the keywords (or phrases) you want to be found for
  • you choose the daily spending limit
  • you choose the times and locations (countries, states, sometimes cities) when and where you want your ads to be displayed
  • you choose the page of your website on which these searchers will land and
  • you choose the wording for your ads.


Pay-per-click advertising can give you a 'first page' ranking for a search term that otherwise would be 'beyond reach' in natural search.  And the results are immediate.  No other method of advertising provides the level of flexibility, accuracy or measurability that pay-per-click advertising provides.
