What is search engine marketing?

Pay-per-click  advertising (sponsored links) appears on the right hand side, and often at the very top, of the search results page.  In contrast to search engine optimisation, pay-per-click brings 'instant' results.

Pay-per-click keyword marketing provides some unique advantages:

  • You choose the keywords (or phrases) you want to be found for
  • you fully control the budget by choosing the daily spending limit
  • you choose the times and locations (countries, states, sometimes even cities) when and where you want your ads to be displayed
